The decision of which era of human was decided finding some people from a time equally close and far in time enough to be a easy starting point to then go further back in time until perfecting all eras through trial and error.

The group behind the operation known as The Philosophers, began the project for 17 years, deemed the project a failure and abandoned it completely. Leaving behind all living parts of the experiment. Due to the outdated nature of the people of 1888, they are very suseptable to attacks from outside forces, and often stand no chance against these forces they can hardly comprehend.
