After a top secret facility acquired fossilized DNA of several Klyntar [Venom, Scorn, and Misery] and applying found Endo-Sym research, these scientists began working on a modified synthetic clone of Eddie and his venom symbiote. The idea was to find out what it was in Eddie's DNA that made the symbiote bond so perfectly, and to take helpful qualities from other samples, to form the perfect symbiote. They were able to use the information they had on each to stop any limitations with the two bonding, trying as hard as possible to make them the perfect match. By extracting the DNA that bonded the two entities (Eddie and venom) they were hoping to make a formula that they could inject into their selected target, and have that entity gain a perfect bond with their newly created symbiote.

Near Centuries of studies were conducted, to finish the project. With the last of their funding they were barely able to get the project done in time. During the last decade of work, Iron Lotus Enforcers heard about what they were working on. Through insiders, they became interested in the project and tried forcibly taking the clones for their own benefit. However as the Enforcers were tearing apart the lab and killing the scientists who cared for him, a lab cat named Cliff attacked several of the mobsters, leaving him critically wounded. The Iron Lotus were unfortunately able to take 5 incomplete human clones, with their own symbiotes attached to them. As far as we know they have yet to open the chambers they were sealed in, out of fear of not being able to control them.

Shortly after, the rest of the Iron Lotus heard about what happened to a strong branch of their crew, they began a manhunt for this unknown creature, hoping to capture and take control over the symbiote.

Cliff was born in this lab and raised by the scientists, building a bond with each of them, the only "complete" genetically engineered symbiote was hiding during the attack, and after finding Cliff dying on the floor, the symbiote chose him as a host, healing his wounds and restoring him to health. Also gaining the codexes of his new symbiote ancestors. Since the symbiote was crafted from the remnants of several of the galaxy's most notorious wielders, Cliff experienced several lifetimes worth of knowledge and errors. He feels very at peace with his place in the universe and does not see himself or his other as good or bad. The Klyntar have proven themselves worthy of being a heroic force time and again, and with a theoretically perfect bond, the only downside is the worry of what would happen if someone besides Cliff tried wielding his Symbiote now Codenamed: Famine

After escaping into free space, Cliff was pretty quickly found and enlisted by a top secret government force claiming they will solve the murder of his family if he agrees to some missions for them. After he agreed, the tone changed and there hasn't been much help solving his personal case. They planted a bomb in his neck threatening to use it if he tries anything.
