Taint - Eraserbaby Mech

Taint was born from the void into a pitch black suspension of nothing. Decades of idle suspension got boring and taint began trying to sleep. He had no idea of what sleep or dreams meant but his eyes eventually needed to rest he knew that much. Practicing each night trying to close his eyes and calm his body he eventually taught himself howto slip out of conciousness and see worlds of possibilities. He had been building these dreamscapes and visiting the friends he made each night, awakening everyday peering into the abyss around him. One day that void split open and the cosmos he sees as home now welcomed him.
He drifted through the sea of stars for a few days until he was greeted by a strange cylindrical space ship. Within the ship were humanoids that seemed scared of him, they'd never seen anything like him before. Over a couple years they taught him their language and became pretty friendly. One of the inhabitants of the ship was a friendly goblin named Maximilian. He adored taint and gave him that name as a joke but it grew to be his identity. This vessel was a entertainment ship, a few like it traverse the system, providing all sorts of entertainment for travellers that needed a break from the constant darkness of space. Maximilian was a dancer and perfected his craft over years of training, this wasn't something he could really teach taint because at the time, taint was just a little head attached to a snake like body. The travellers come and go and it gave taint the opportunity to meet alot of interesting people. One such person was a man by the name of Dr. Cinderfrost, he was a robotics expert and showed taint the interesting sport of mech fights. The idea was little people would get inside big mechs and fight until their mechs couldn't take it anymore. Taint loved this and immediately tried learning everything he could from the Dr.
A few years later Taint had become the heart of the entertainment ship's battle studio, and reigning champ of the systems unarmed mech fights. Things were really looking up for him, he had a group of friends a place to stay and free interplanetary travel access. It all changed when they entered the orbit of Rhea. Some localized orbital pirates attacked the ship, stealing most of their resource and killing dozens. Maximilian led Taint to an escape pod, kissed him on the forehead and promised taint he'd see him soon.
The escape pod landed in the toxic rivers of Ganymede, and Taint was scooped out by a local fire department. He was questioned by local Monmatia PD, the situation was understood and they helped him get setup with some low income local housing, that he payed off with the last of his money raised from mech fights. He looked into some local rings, and most of the rings on Ganymede are lethal only and he liked the companionship he felt after the wins and losses before and didn't want to have to kill people dealing with such similar struggles to him. He took low effort bounties on alone for a few months; search and rescue of pets, missing items, stuff that didn't really put him in harm's way.
This started getting boring for Taint, he missed the rush he got from the mech fights and wanted a sense of companionship again, so he looked for a bit higher stakes contract. One caught his attention: a bodyguard position at the IO summit. He had never been to IO before and a bodyguard job sounded pretty cool. What could go wrong.
