Datamancer

The exact origins of Datamancer are unknown. Some say, they originated from a sect of experimental magicians within Ganymede others suggest they started centuries ago on Earth before the great collapse. Also rumored to be a top secret branch of the CIBI, very little can be confirmed about this organization other than the fact that they make a lot of high profile Spectra users go missing. They do not have organizational motifs or uniforms they are almost completely undetectable unless you know what to look for.

In recent years Datamancer has come under much scrutiny as many activists claim the ways in which they operate to be inhumane and cruel to people that do not choose the Spectra amount they are born with. It is of no surprise that after rumors of Datamancer began spreading, public outrage over a group dedicated to controlling and surveiling everyone in the system's lives, was something the public was uncomfortable with. This came to a pinnacle when many major nations and planets declared Datamancer to be a hoax spread by anti-government coalitions. Eventually it became another conspiracy theory that sounded to most as "too powerful to really exist." Which is the same sentiment they're said to use to reduce the public's perception of powerful spectra wielders.
