The  ballad  of  Virtuous Vanderbelt, aka  Lucky Red.

This song starts at a corpo junction town on Venus by the name of Endsmeed. This town offered many farmers and other citizens a chance to make good money to support their families and homesteads. A man named Thomas Vanderbelt, a mechanical and tech specialist, worked for one of the largest corporations in town that made watches. However, he was underpaid for his labor and only got enough to support his land and his cattle. His wife, Bella Vanderbelt, was very skilled in farming and planting, and made money off her crops and flowers. She supported the boys. Together they had three children, Jack being the oldest at 16, Vicious being the middle child at 12, and Virtuous being the youngest at 11. Vicious and Virtuous never really saw eye to eye, but they were always there for each other. Jack was always wondering why they were almost completely opposites; one was willing to do whatever it takes for himself, while the other was willing to do whatever it takes for the people around him. However, he did not care too much because all he knew was that he needed to do what he could for his family. Things were going smoothly. It was a Tuesday around lunchtime. Thomas, Bella, and Jack were working. Vic and Virt were heading out of school when they got cornered by a group of older kids. They were messing with Vic, calling him an old lady because of his white hair, and Virt got pissed off. Virt pushed Vic behind him and started mouthing off to the kid, Marty Hendrickson. Marty then slapped Virt in the face and pushed him away. Marty and his three other companions started to laugh it off, calling them poor and defenseless. They were not wrong since the Vanderbelts were the poorest in the town, but still, Vic did not take that without doing anything. He picked up a bottle, broke it, and threw it into Marty's face. Marty, screaming in pain, and Virt, yelling at Vic. Vic yelled at Marty and the others to leave, or else he will mess up the other side of Marty's face. They all ran off crying, and Vic and Virt ran off back to the house. Later that night, a mass email across Venus stated that in the next week, all manufacturers and eco-workers will vacate Venus because it has become uninhabitable and poor with resources. (Marty's father is Damascus Hendrickson, one of the richest families in the solar system.) With this, of Venus would be deprived of all of its whole government, meaning all taxes and payments for homes and other essentials would not exist, but also, Venus would become a hotspot for crime, schools shut down, and Thomas had to start working with Bella on the crops because they still needed food. For approximately two months, things were going smoothly, but one day, while Jack was working at a bar in Endsmeed, a group of nomads traveled in on motorcycles and cars. They all wore outfits to show their affiliations. On their backs, they had a patch named The Damned, and below the letters, an image of three heads with a lotus on each head and a crown on top of each lotus. A couple of them walked into the bar, and the rest stayed outside. Cryus walked in first with a patch named President, second was Tops, who had a VP patch, then the third, Luca, with a 'Warrior of the Road' patch and a 'Servant of the Damned' patch. They sat down, and all was well. When Jack walked up to bring them a beer, they did not say a word. They drank, and five minutes later, got up and left. Jack yelled at them to come back and pay, but Cryus and Luca did not like that at all. Cryus whispered in Luca's ear, and then Luca pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and blew a hole in Jack's chest, dead on impact. Tops was screaming and furious on why they did that, and all Cryus said was; "For politics, got a make our mark." He then asked the barkeep where does this boy stay, and the barkeep told him that he lives on a farmhouse outside Endsmeed with his mother, father, and two brothers. The nomad charter group then moved out on their way to the homestead of the Vanderbelts. Vics out messing with the horses with his parents, and Virts inside asleep, when out of the blue, Vic starts to feel rumbling, then over the hill, the horde of nomads swarms the homestead holding Vic, Thomas, and Bella in the stables and setting the barn and the house ablaze. A couple of nomads hold down Thomas so he cannot run to save Virt, and Vic and Bella sit, not knowing what to do. Thinking Virt is dead, they sit and wait until the nomads do something. Cyrus tells them, "Killed your boy to prove a point, killed you for the pleasure of it." He then guns down Thomas and Bella. Leaving Vic with a blank expression on his face, he calmly says: "i am goin ta kill you." Cyrus says, "Guess I'll just kill you first," as he raises his gun. Virt runs out of the fire with a revolver. He guns down 2 nomads on his way to Vic. Then Luca appears and starts shooting at him, missing. Virt takes cover behind a dead nomad, and shoots Luca through the dead nomad. Cryus yells, "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOI-" Vic ran up to him, hopping over the fence, and bit a chunk of his neck out. Virt walked up to Luca on the floor and sat next to him as he bled out, cut off his road warrior patch, and said, "You ain't no warrior, but you're sure as hell a servant." Tops ran out and told everyone not to shoot. He said, "Hey, boys, I can't do anything to help you or do anything to repay what has been taken from you, but I can give you a start. You can run with us. Cyrus and Luca were bottom of the barrel, didn't deserve to lead anyway. I'll take care of you guys. Let me do that much to help." The boys agreed, seeing they didn't have many other options. They buried their brother and parents and left the area of Endsmeed.
