Growing up on a small farm on Rhea, James didn't know much about the outside systems, as education on Rhea was self taught or word of mouth through family and friends. He grew up thinking every planet was as down on their luck as his, that it was this hard everywhere to find food, and just as difficult to find friends to trust.

One day when James was 14, shearing some sheep that belonged to his family, a military drop ship appeared, bearing the insignia U.G.G.S. James' father was immediately unnerved by this and approached the drop door exclaiming they have no right to do what it is they're doing. James had no idea what this could've meant but the next thing he knew his father was on the floor beside him cold and lifeless. 6 armed guards guided the boy into the dropship where he was greeted by a few other local kids, all looking equally concerned.

A bag was placed on his head and a metal collar of some sort was fastened over. He fought a moment, which was immediately met with a guard knocking him out. As he awoke, he was now in a chamber with all those other kids he recognized, some he didn't. Everyone was strapped to steel radiating a cold calculated unease sweeping the entire room. As he waited unable to move, he saw different strange masked men in lab coats, injecting serums into everyone around him. When the injection was complete the other kids looked like they were falling asleep. This obviously concerned James and he resisted all he could, screaming and kicking at the technicians, they took this personally it seemed. Gave James a smile and didn't inject him, they then left him behind in the room.

What felt like a week passed by and James couldn't sleep at all, wondering what happened to those other kids, to his family, nothing was sure now, especially nothing surrounding his current situation. Finally a technician he hadn't seen yet, in a black lab coat approached. He didn't give a name or a word to James. They just stared into each others eyes for a moment, and in another moment a needle breaches James' skin. A dark energy flowed through him that he could not at all understand. It felt powerful, yet cold and lonely. He was brought back to his cell and dumped in there greeted by his new cell-mate.

The daily experience for several months was; awaking in his cell, getting injections, physical training, mental training, sleep, and repeat. His food was delivered to him in pill form with all the sustanence needed in a day held inside. After about 6 months they let him begin field operations, where he exceeded beyond the expectations of his captors.

After years of special operations missions, assassinating military leaders and rivals, relocating people of power and maintaining absolute secrecy, his higher ups relocated him to work under General Strass who within a few decades made a name for himself and became someone alot of people in James' new line of work would be honored to hold.

For 4 years James worked under his unit; hits, escorts, payload sinks, all of it done no questions asked. Strass had never even spoken to James and all orders were through his underlings, until a cold October morning in 2735.

The mission was fairly simple: Sneak into a Albright Chemicals distillation plant and extract all evidence of a formula they had been working on, as Strass believed they didn't have the right to use something so important for purely commercial use. Spector had no idea what this chemical was or what it did, that wasn't the job. With his team codenamed Unit L, they extracted this formula from a populated lab of scientists, with no hesitation Spector gunned down a half dozen of these scientists he knew nothing about, for a man's goal he hardly knew.

Upon extraction, the unit boarded their drop ship and as the hatch closed behind them and sealed they were broadcast a message from Strass. "I understand you all do what you're told and that respect of my command will be rewarded someday. However I have been notified there is a informant in this crew and I will take no risk at exposing my grand plan that will save this system. I will take NONE." The gravity in the ship shifted, the unit recognized that as them leaving the atmosphere, however they could tell the direction they were hurling in was not the direction of their HQ. And they were likely being sent to their death. As some of the crew began turning on one another, Spector began concocting a plan; extract the RC core from the engine bay of the ship and begin a manual takeover, to then steer the ship to safety. The calm and collected nature Spector carried made the others somewhat uncomfortable and they began attacking him seeing it as suspicious.

A crew of 5 now down to 2 as Spector fought to his last dying breath to change directions and save himself, the other crewmate, Victor, expressed no hostility towards Spector and began assisting in the manual override. The two were able to successfully crash-land in a river on Ganymede Beta, escaping to safety within the nearby sewer system.

Those two began bounty hunting and taking on odd jobs to get their money up and formed a crew called Legion. Over the next few years they met others who had been abandoned by strass and recruited them to their hit squad. Building up the strength to start working up the food chain to strass.

Over the course of the development of Legion, Vic grew more unstable and focused on the rage he felt, letting it guide him through every aspect of his life. Spector recognized this destructive behavior and told Vic he'd spend some time on artificial sector 1888 trying to the drive mutants out, so they could setup a HQ there. A natural ecosystem of vampire bats was extremely prominent here and the mutants were utilizing them as carrier pigeons for their corrupt cyberware. Eventually some of this corrupt cyberware began infecting the bats, giving them a new strain of rabies, targeting the mutants and further mutating them into manbat- like entities that needed to be exterminated. Months of studying these creatures increased a interest Spector had in them, as he hunted them, he gathered samples and logs so he could further study this upon his arrival back on Ganymede.

After his brief vacation and return to Ganymede, Legion began focusing on the larger city of Ganymede Alpha, targeting a newly found crew who had been involved with Strass to some capacity at the Io conference. Spector began gathering Intel on them for Legion and after they recognized Agent H amongst the crew they attacked, hoping to recruit H, Vic's lack of control in the situation and propensity to violence left immense discomfort in the already losing interest Spector. He watched as they took down most of his unit and after watching them for a little while longer defected to this new crew, hoping to establish some framework to their new found connections.
