The Great Ganymede war
October 2237 - Major Brigham Strass IV, of the 34th regiment to the Baron of Ganymede, reported to command on another frigid Tuesday morning. His higher ups inform him a riot has been forming in the industrial district of Ganymede Delta, and they'd like him to go get it under control.
The next day he arrives at Ganymede Delta and begins concentrating forces into the heart of the riots. These riots were a necessity to resist unfair working conditions, corrupt officials, and the police state the said officials put the people under. Strass IV was disgusted with this uprising and felt these people needed to be put in place. Without hesitation Strass let rounds off into the crowd as a warning, unintentionally sparking a revolt that would shake the foundation of this planet for centuries.
April 2238 - With the revolt not slowing over the course of over 6 months, Strass had enough men and ego lost, and decided to make an example of Ganymede Delta, in an attempt to scare the other cities of Ganymede into caving to his rule. Releasing drone swarms into communities. Strass took hundreds of thousands of innocent lives and began plans to do the same to every resistant neighborhood on the planet.
June 2238 - In the wake of the destruction of Ganymede Delta, an underground splinter organization of the Iron Lotus began scheming ways to avenge their fallen comrades, targeting Strass directly by drawing him somewhere he feels safe and getting what they need from him.
July 2238 - Strass' personal home is invaded by a masked team of 7, utilizing double agents they had planted in datamancer they breached his security systems moments before invading, capturing his wife and 3 kids, taking them to an off planet holding location. Strass awoke with a bag over his head and the sound of a gun cocking, he could hear his family crying over a holo-transmittion, and refused to give them any of the classified information they were searching for.
They took the bag off his head and before him, was a projected video of his family being held at gunpoint, still he refused. Shots rang out, and all that was left was his youngest son. Strass caved and gave them [false] information on locating a top secret research facility giving them fake codes and names to get some time to plan an escape.
